All trailers & information about The Walking Dead from Comic Con 2021
the Walking Dead
Does Dog die? The trailer for the mother series shocked a lot of fans. Not only are there doubts that the Commonwealth is the next enemy, but a fan favorite also seems to be dying: “Dog”, as Daryl Dixon’s dog is called, whines in one scene of the trailer, while Daryl himself only says “No!”.
Negan’s big appearance: The trailer for the upcoming final season 11 of The Walking Dead seems to put Negan in the spotlight. In the comics, his role was rather small towards the end. The series seems to want to change that now.
And so Maggie seems to have to ally with Negan sooner or later, even if he killed her husband and child father. In addition, the former antagonist moves much more confidently through the picture, which speaks for his rehabilitation within in the group.
New walkers: Probably the scariest scene in the trailer takes place in a mansion. Here we see completely different walkers for the first time. They crawl across the floor on all fours as if possessed by demons. It is unclear whether this is really a new form of walker – but nothing like it has ever happened in The Walking Dead.
2 opponents, 1 season: Even if season 11 of The Walking Dead with 24 episodes is clearly excessively long; two enemies in a season are difficult to deal with. Not only is the Commonwealth finally coming to the fore, but the group pursuing Maggie also stands in the way of our heroes.
Start date: As early as August 15, 2021, AMC + owners will enter the next iteration of The Walking Dead. Everyone else has to be patient for an extra week.
Fear the walking dead
Morgan & Grace: Two trailers for Fear The Walking Dead were presented at ComicCon 2021. One shows Morgan, Grace and the baby, the other June and John Dorie Sr.
The former still live in the submarine to protect themselves from the radiation, but there is no food here. Only Grace dares to get out of the boat and look for food – she is already highly contaminated anyway.
The world outside is shrouded in yellow fog, and even a nuclear explosion doesn’t seem to kill the Walkers. As the saying goes: “What doesn’t kill you makes you crispier” – or something like that.
John & June: In the second trailer, we see an excerpt from the story arc with June and John Sr. They too are still stuck in Teddy’s bunker. You find a secret room after an earthquake ripped a shelf off the wall. This room appears to be the place where Teddy tortured, killed and filled countless women with formaldehyde before he was imprisoned.
Start date: The ComicCon trailer for season 7 Fear The Walking Dead reveals: The new episodes will start on October 17, 2021, on AMC & AMC +. A launch on Disney + has not yet been confirmed.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond
Exciting enough? Admittedly, the trailer for World Beyond catches the least. Not particularly exciting, but full of exposure dumping. We see Felix and Will talking about Will’s escape from CRM and the demise of the campus colony.
Will and another passenger in a helicopter survived. However, his colleague is shot by a CRM soldier. It reminds us a lot of Barca: They told CRM commander Elizabeth Kublek that he could not cope with his role in the purge.
Start date: The Walking Dead World Beyond is the first TWD show to be launched again on October 3rd, 2021. The second season is then also the last of the spin-off.
