The survival MMO ARK: Survival Evolved is planning a New Years’ event at the end of the year. You can expect colorful fireworks and other gifts and Chibis on Mass!
This is planned: Studio Wildcard has announced a New Years’ event for the turn of the year. In the morning of January 1st, 2023, exactly at 12:00 a.m. EST, a colorful fireworks display will start in the world of ARK. Several gifts will rain from the sky, and you will find no longer available skins from past events.
The drop rate of the rare, very rare, and legendary sweet chibis (baby dinosaurs) is increased by a whopping 9,000.
The event starts on all official servers on:
- January 1, 2023, at 12:00 am EST.
- January 1, 2023, at 12:00 pm EST.
- January 2, 2023, at 12:00 am EST.
Private servers can start the event manually with the command parameter: “-NewYearEvent”.

More information about the event: Studio Wildcard provides more information about the event in their official forum post. However, these are more hints than further information.
- The event cannot be triggered before midnight.
- The event can only be triggered once per save file, but then takes place twice. At midnight and at noon.
If server owners should decide to adjust the start time of the event, they must use the following parameters:
- ?NewYear1UTC=1640995200
- ?NewYear2UTC=1641038400
The number with the 10 digits after the “=” represents the time. You can convert the time on the Epoch Converter website to get the correct time.
We at Guided.news wish you a lot of fun with the event, happy holidays and a happy new year! 🙂
