During the closed beta of Diablo 4 last weekend, there was a surprising enemy that most players failed to defeat. This was The Butcher, the butcher who was last seen as a boss in Diablo 3 and Immortal. However, a pro has now defeated him solo!

This is the Butcher in Diablo 4: In Diablo 4, the iconic Butcher does not exist as a real boss. Instead, he just randomly appears and chases players, especially in dungeons. This random boss is so strong that he takes out most players in seconds, which is seen rather critically, especially by hardcore players. Now, however, a professional has managed to defeat him.

Pro Defeats the Butcher in Diablo 4 While Most Fail

In a YouTube video from MMO streamer Asmongold, he responds to a Twitch clip of Alkaizer defeating the Butcher. Alkaizer is known among Diablo fans as a pro who was the first player in the world to reach Paragon level 100 with his barbarian in Diablo 3.

This is what you can see: In the video you can see how Alkaizer fights against the butcher with his level 25 barbarian and is rather inferior, especially at the beginning. However, Alkaizer is lucky and there is a shrine near him, which he also activates. Shrines in Diablo bring you different effects that either make you invulnerable for a short time or strengthen your hero.

In this case, Alkaizer got a buff, which makes him shoot daggers forward with every attack, causing high damage. It is only through this shrine buff that the pro is able to defeat the butcher, as he deals so much damage that Alkaizer already had to use all 5 potions.

Most players who encounter the butcher are not so lucky and are literally dismembered by him. Especially for hardcore players, this means the end of their character, in which they have often invested many hours.

Whether the butcher will still be so strong in the upcoming Open Beta on March 24th, or whether Blizzard will weaken him, is not yet known. But it is certainly a cool challenge.
