If the hardcore shooter Escape from Tarkov isn't hardcore enough for you, you can now install a mod that introduces a "detailed dismemberment system" for single players. This includes severed and destroyed limbs as well as burst skulls.
The guts are flying in Tarkov now: Supposedly to "reflect the reality of combat", a modder recently released a relentless gore modification for Escape from Tarkov. The presumed pacifist's brutal code goes by the name Visceral Dismemberment.
Among other things, the mod makes projectile hits shred limbs and sever heads. Furthermore, heavy explosions tear apart entire bodies. The bloody results can of course be viewed completely uncensored. You can read more about this interesting modification below.

However, the peace mission of the modder behind Visceral Dismemberment doesn't end with taking "the brutality of the battles in Escape From Tarkov to a new level". In order for "players to experience the consequences of their actions in the most gruesome way possible," the 65-megabyte mod also includes additional visual effects and sound files.
Thanks to the latter, "players will hear bones snapping, flesh tearing, and blood splattering as they engage in intense firefights." In keeping with this, the peace modder has customized body parts to react differently to different types of damage. A high-caliber shot to the leg, for example, can cause it to be severed, while a shot to the hand may destroy the entire forearm.

The original installation instructions also include a sixth step, according to which you should enjoy the carnage. Sure, I mean, Visceral Dismemberments' stated goal is to sensitize players to warlike actions, after all.
