1. How to find the strongest ammunition in Tarkov – ammo chart
This is the chart: In the official Tarkov Wiki there are various entries on the topic of ammunition. On the one hand, you will find a simple list of various calibers and their subcategories. Another hit, however, shows you a table with damage values, armor penetration, speed and Co. This table looks like this:
1.1 When do you use which ammunition?
You have to pay attention to this: You have now seen a lot of small columns, all of which show a supposedly important value. Now let it be said that the only really relevant points are the following:
- Damage
- Penetration power
- Velocity (not mandatory)
- Tracer (light trail)
1.1.2 Follow the wipe cycle
Especially at the beginning of a wipe, you should increasingly use ammunition that has a high damage value. Hardly any player will wear high-level armor at this point for which AP ammunition is worthwhile.
However, if the wipe has already been a few weeks, then you have to weigh more carefully which ammunition you take with you. Your own style of play decides here:
- Head & body: If you focus on these body regions as is typical for shooters, you should consider ammunition with a high penetration power.
- Arms & legs: For these areas of the body you should again use ammunition with the higher damage value. Ammunition without AP function or with little penetration can cause even more damage to unprotected areas.
The selection is made so that players can and will only be able to dress in armor on the thorax and head. They cannot protect themselves on the extremities.
