Getting special bonuses when we pre-order a game has a long tradition in the gaming industry. The development studio Avalanche Software is taking it to the extreme with the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy. PlayStation owners, in particular, will get their money's worth here. But the bonuses also create confusion.
What's happening? Avalanche Software has announced several pieces of content for Hogwarts Legacy that should be available exclusively for PlayStation users—at least for a limited time. However, along with the bonuses players receive from linking their WB accounts to the Harry Potter Fan Club, this is confusing the community. We, therefore, summarize what you should know about it.

What are the rewards for Fan Club users? If you create an account on the Wizarding World website and link it to your Warner Bros account, you can complete a quiz to find out which Hogwarts house you belong to and which wand is right for you. You can then apply these two things directly to your character in Hogwarts Legacy.
The developers have not yet announced whether the same applies to the Patronus, which you can also get via the Wizarding World website. However, they did say on Twitter that you are not forced to take the house and wand quiz results into the game. So you can change your mind at any time.
You'll also get a special house robe and a special mask as bonus content when you link your two accounts. The robe always adapts to the house to which your character currently belongs.
What Hogwarts Legacy content is PlayStation exclusive? PlayStation players will enjoy a special questline that will be time-exclusive for a year only on the Sony platform. Players from other platforms will not be able to complete this quest until 2024.
The special highlight of this quest is that you will receive a special cosmetic clothing set after its completion. In addition, you can open your shop in Hogsmeade, where you can sell items and equipment “at better prices than anywhere else.”
However, the developers' statement that this shop is initially exclusively available to PlayStation players leads to the conclusion that other players can sell their equipment in other ways in the game. The team behind Hogwarts Legacy has not yet revealed how exactly this works.
