Recently, the individual tour trailer about the common rooms of the four houses in Hogwarts Legacy appeared. If you have looked closely, you could have caught a few hints about the future gameplay, that we can expect to be released on the (probably) 10th of February 2023.
In the following, we will show you the five details we found, including our assumption of what this could say about the gaming possibilities.
As you probably already know, the paintings and pictures that decorate the walls of Hogwarts building can interact with the students or teachers.
At 0:22 of the Gryffindor common room trailer, you see the active player walking past two other students. Even before the active player is in sight, the student in the back waves or greets something on his opposite; very likely the painting hanging there.
This could indicate that you are able to interact with the paintings and pictures in the game, which makes getting quests through them, may also be possible.
After the first Harry Potter movie, which aired in 2001, everyone should know, what wizard chess is. In the trailer of the Slytherin common room, at 0:39, there is very obviously a fully equipped chessboard on a table that the active character is passing.
Since there are also many other wizard games mentioned in the books, it is only logical that these won't be missing in a massive game like Hogwarts Legacy. These games could probably be played as multiple minigames.
If you've looked closely while watching the Hufflepuff common room trailer, you have noticed that there's one ghost that appeared quite often. This can be seen particularly well in the second 0:48. The ghost we are talking about is most likely the Fat Friar, Hufflepuff's house ghost.
This is further confirmation of what was already teased by a gameplay trailer that was showing a student interacting with Nearly Headless Nick, the Gryffindor house ghost. Interaction with the four house ghosts is therefore possible, which certainly brings you one or more quests.
Right at the beginning of the Ravenclaw common room trailer, at 0:09, you can see the green Floo powder, which you can use to "teleport" yourself from one place to another. However, since this powder occurs directly in the common rooms, it probably means that you will be able to travel anywhere from there within the Floo Powder network. But this could be a fast travel system only for places you've already visited.
You can find our fifth and final detail also in the Ravenclaw common room trailer. But you can only see it very briefly, on the right side of the trailer. In the second 0:56, the armor on the right is blocking the path of the active male player. Those of you who have read the books know that this is the way to the girls' dormitories, where a spell is placed to prevent boys from entering. For example, in the Gryffindor room, the stairs to the girls' dorm become a slide if a boy steps on them.
So this means that even gender choices at the beginning of the game will have an impact on your gameplay experience.
These are some of the details we could see in the trailers. Did you see more? Write it in the comments.
