Crytek has announced on social media a new event for their shooter Hunt: Showdown, the Serpent Moon Event. The Event starts today, July 27th, we will tell you what you can expect!
Crytek has released a trailer that officially presents the event. Some previous assumptions are correct, while others are not.
This is your task in the event: In the Serpent Moon Event, you will search for and collect snakes on the map, which you in turn have to sacrifice at other points on the map. However, care should be taken when collecting the snakes as they are very vicious.
Of course, the event also offers new skins and items:
Other features:
The event starts on July 27th, 2022, and ends on September 26th, 2022. A full 2 months should be enough time for each hunter to collect enough points to purchase all the new skins.
That's going on: Developer Crytek has announced the Serpent Moon Event for Hunt: Showdown. This is supposed to start on July 27, 2022, but there is not yet much information apart from a short teaser trailer.
The Serpent Moon event in Hunt: Showdown is the follow-up to the first event, the Traitor's Moon event from late March. As in every other event before, the task of the players will probably be the following:
The accumulated points can then usually be spent on rewards, such as exclusive event skins for hunters and weapons.
It could also go differently: Crytek has already mentioned that they want to adjust the events over time. So whether we'll get a typical Hunt: Showdown event again or something new is still unknown.
In the short teaser itself, we can already make out a few things:
Entitled "Something new is coming with the Serpent Moon! What could it be?" Crytek also posts another short gameplay video:
In the video, we see a player walking towards a foggy cornfield. Gunshots can be heard, possibly from the pistol version of the Sparks LLR. Ravens fly away, so there might be something lurking in the cornfield. But the teaser doesn't tell us more.
The event starts on July 27th, we will keep you informed!
