The open beta of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 starts on September 16th and now the minimum & recommended system requirements have been revealed. We’ll now show you what hardware you need to play the MW2 beta.
That’s what it’s all about: On the console, you don’t have to consider much for most games, except for the space on your hard drive. To be on the safe side, we’ve already written about the size of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in another article. However, if you want to play the beta on PC, you’ll have to keep a few more requirements in mind, and you’ll find out what they are when you read on.

These are the system requirements for the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta
So that you can prepare yourself if necessary, the system requirements for the beta of the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 were announced today. At first glance, it looks to us like even older hardware can easily keep up, at least in the beta. Whether the requirements will change again for the release or not is currently unknown.
Minimal System requirements for Modern Warfare 2
- Operating system – Windows 10 64 bit (latest update)
- Processor – Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- Graphics card – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470
- Graphics memory (VRAM) – 3 gigabytes
- RAM – 8 gigabytes
- SSD/HDD Storage – 25 gigabytes
- Graphics driver – NVIDIA: 516.79 or AMD: 21.9.1
Recommended System requirements for Modern Warfare 2
- Operating system – Windows 10 64 bit (latest update)
- Processor – Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
- Graphics card – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580
- Graphics Memory (VRAM) – 3 gigabytes
- RAM – 16 gigabytes
- SSD/HDD Storage – 25 gigabytes
- Graphics driver – NVIDIA: 516.79 or AMD: 21.9.1
