The developers of the ARPG Path of Exile got in touch in the forum shortly before the New Year and presented the plans for the beginning of 2022. The next Expansion 3.17 will appear at the beginning of February, and the current Scourge League will be extended.
That's going on: The New Zealand developer Grinding Gear Games announce in the official forum that the next expansion 3.17 will not start until the beginning of February.
GGG has not yet announced an exact date, but there will still be a live stream typical for PoE before the launch. Then Twitch Drops will be activated again to provide you with rewards.
It is expected that the next PoE League will start at the same time, which will lead to a rapid increase in the number of players. We can expect more details in the next few weeks.
What does that mean for you? This delays the regular schedule of the leagues by about two weeks, but this also means that the current Scourge League will be extended by this time. So you have more time to climb the leaderboard, complete the challenges, and dust off cosmetic items.
The developers also confirm that the desired hard mode, which you should actually be able to test on the experimental servers before the release of 3.17, will also be postponed. GGG is currently concentrating on the completion of expansion 3.17 and will then take care of the hard mode.
To pass the time until the release of 3.17, you can currently still take part in two events:
So jump into the events and collect as many items as you can. The expansion 3.17 is almost around the corner, we will keep you updated on this.
