February could be an expensive month for friends of cultivated gaming entertainment. After the numerous release postponements in 2022, the first big releases will finally start in February. We have summarized the most important titles for you.

February brings several heavyweights with it. There should be something for everyone, no matter if you like horror, RPG or survival games. But enough babbling, here we go:

Hogwarts Legacy

Admittedly, we’re probably not telling you anything new with this title. But Hogwarts Legacy definitely deserves the top spot in this list. Based on the gameplay and story trailers released so far, the wizarding RPG should be absolutely huge. Both the officially released content and the recently leaked news about gameplay time, world map, etc. give us hope for an all-around successful and in-depth RPG that will provide us with gaming fun for weeks.

In the game, you travel to Hogwarts as a wizard student yourself to complete your fifth school year as a lateral entrant. In the process, you’ll get caught in the middle of the goblin rebellion and have to help stop it. Hogwarts Legacy will be released on February 10 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.

Sons of the Forest

The survival hit The Forest from 2014 still enjoys great popularity today. Its sequel, Sons of the Forest, is expected to be one of the most eagerly anticipated releases in 2023. After several postponements in the past year, the release for the PC is now set for February 23, 2023. Sons of the Forest follows on from its predecessor with its story. You return to the remote island as Timmy and have to find a missing billionaire.

Of course, cannibals, and mutants will make your life hell again in Sons of the Forest. The first testers who have already played the game are enthusiastic about Sons of the Forest and report on some completely new features that have never been seen in any other game.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain

The action adventure Horizon: Call of the Mountain will be released on February 22 and is a spin-off of Horizon Zero Dawn. The game is also one of the first titles for the PlayStation VR2, which can also be ordered starting February 22. In Horizon: Call of the Mountain, you play Ryas, a disgraced former soldier, and must uncover a new secret of the Carja Sun Empire to save your people from the machines.

Atomic Heart

After a long wait, fans of the shooter Atomic Heart finally got the long-awaited news at the last Gamescom. The game will be released on February 21 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and the PC. The latest trailer promises fast and hard-hitting action with an atmosphere all its own. The story is quickly explained. In an alternative version of the Soviet Union in the 50s, where there are already robots and cyborgs, it came as it had to come. The machines turned against their creators and attacked everything that wasn’t made of tin and wires. As Major P-3, it is now your task to save the world from destruction and save humanity.

Wild Hearts

On February 16 of this year, the action-adventure game Wild Hearts will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and the PC. In the game, you’ll have to use the ancient technology at your disposal to fight giant beasts that carry the power of nature and have also suffered terrible mutations.

With up to two friends at the same time, you’ll be able to engage in combat in good Monster Hunter fashion in co-op mode. Besides the impressive battles, there should also be crafting and cooking functions. Also, during battles you’ll be able to summon certain constructs that can give you a tactical advantage in battle.
