In Conan Exiles, the Glowing Goop is used to craft some items and, thanks to the Age of Sorcery update, also for magic. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Glowing Goop and what you can craft with it.
The only thing that can be said about Glowing Goop is that no one knows what it is made of and why it grows, or where it grows. But for you, it’s more important where to find it and what you need it for.
Conan Exiles: Glowing Goop Locations
Glowing Goop grows underwater in dark and shadowy areas that are often inhabited by crocodiles, so it’s better for you to equip yourself with weapons and armor before you go searching for the slime. You can harvest Glowing Goop with a Sickle or Pickaxe, which will give you a different amount of Glowing Goop per hit, depending on their quality.
Places where you’ll find Glowing Goop:
- Hanuman’s Grotto
- The Descent of Dagon
- The Dregs
- In shady areas of the jungle at source -2755, 3337
- On goop-shrubs in the tunnel leading to the Descent of Dagon at -2738, 3000
- In the Sunken City in the Glowing Goop Deposit
- In Supermeru (scattered patches)
Conan Exiles: Usage of Glowing Goop
We have collected some recipes which require Glowing Goop to craft these items. In addition, it should be said that you’ll also need Glowing Goop for using magic that came out within the new update.
Craftable in Inventory
Glowing Stick:
The Glowing Stick is an alternative to the torch, except that it doesn’t emit smoke. To build one piece, you’ll need:
- 1x Bone
- 3x Glowing Goop
Craftable on Alchemists Benches
Glowing Essence:
Eating the Glowing Essence allows you to increase the time you are able to spend underwater. To craft one Glowing Essence, you need the following ingredients:
- 10x Glowing Goop
- 2x Aloe Leaves
The crafting time is 20 seconds and will be rewarded with 48 experience.
Craftable on the Dyer’s Bench
Cyan Dye:
You can use Cyan Dye to color different materials and items, but be aware that the different structures of the materials absorb the color differently. To craft one flask of Cyan Dye, you need these ingredients:
- 1x Water-filled Glass Flask
- 1x Glowing Goop
The crafting time is 5 seconds and will be rewarded with 8 experience.
Craftable in the Fermentation Barrel
Absinthe:
Absinthe is an alcoholic drink for which you need these ingredients:
- 1x Purified Water
- 15x Glowing Goop
- 1x Leavening Agent
The crafting time is 30 seconds and will be rewarded with 86 experience.
