Gruel - The slime soup in the survival MMO Conan Exiles smells rotten, is watery, and absolutely disgusting. However, it is surprisingly high in fiber. No barbarian with a shred of honor would consume this disgusting mush - but for slaves, Gruel is just the thing!
Like almost every great and powerful empire in history, your success in Conan Exiles will likely be built on the foundation of slave labor. Thralls form the basis of a good defense and offer you their services at the workbenches. On the other hand, your slaves must be alive and well to do their job.
The thin and unsavory Gruel is very easy to make and is the perfect food for your slaves: cheap, effective, and long-lasting. If you're desperate enough, you can use Gruel yourself as an alternate food source.
With enough Gruel, you can tend to numerous prisoners at once while they are placed on your Wheel of Pain. And even after that, it's the best way to feed your slaves. To make a single bowl of the gruel, all you have to do is cook two different resources together over a campfire:
You can easily find these ingredients anywhere in the world, especially in bushes. Just put the ingredients in the fire and let it simmer until you've finished the muddy food. With a total of 80 servings of the soup, you can run your wheel of pain in real time for an hour. So make sure you have enough Gruel in stock.
Even if it tastes awful and disgusting, Gruel has a very long shelf life and is slow to spoil. In fact, there is no other food in Conan Exiles that can be stored longer. So it could be worthwhile to always have a certain amount of very useful soup in your inventory, especially for long journeys.
