Everyone hotly anticipates the Diablo 4 beta, but on the first weekend, it is only accessible to those who have pre-ordered the ARPG for $70 to $100. But there is also a way to get into the closed beta without buying the game. We'll tell you how!

Here's what's happening: The Diablo 4 Early Access (Closed Beta) and subsequent Open Beta are already starting this weekend. To be more precise, the Early Access starts on March 17th and the open beta on March 24th. There is also a preload, which starts on Wednesday. However, only players who have purchased the normal edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition in the pre-sale will have access to the EA. Nevertheless, with some luck, you can participate in the Closed Beta without buying the game.

How to Participate in the Diablo 4 Closed Beta Without a Pre-Order

If you have not pre-ordered Diablo 4, you will logically not receive a beta key from Blizzard. However, you can gain access to the Closed Beta in other ways. In various forums (via Resetera) or the Diablo 4 Subreddits, beta keys are distributed free of charge. Here, players who have received a key through pre-order don't have time to play it. So they give away the keys to make others happy or start their own raffles.

Another way to get a free beta key is to participate in raffles and competitions by various content creators, gaming magazines, or even fast food restaurants. Blizzard's partners often receive keys to give to their community, and a few sites are already giving away keys. For example, the fast food chain KFC offers beta keys for everyone who buys a Double Down burger.

This is how you are guaranteed to get a beta key: If you don't want to hope for luck, you can buy beta keys for $5 to $15. Various users are already selling them on Ebay or other online markets. Key sellers like Kinguin also sell the beta keys while stocks last.
