Hardwood is an important resource in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You need it for various things, but especially for completing quests or for item upgrades.

As you might have guessed, you can find hardwood mainly near forests. Just like clay, you'll be able to collect hardwood right at the beginning of your Disney adventure in the Glade of Trust. Just go to the area and search near trees there and simply collect the hardwood from the ground.
Beware: hardwood is easy to confuse with the visually very similar softwood. While the hardwood is displayed with a strong reddish brown, the softwood is more of a honey brown. Once you've progressed a bit further in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can also find hardwood in the following areas:
Good to know: To enter the Forest of Valor, a total of 5.000 x Dream Light is required. The investment is worth it, however, because in addition to hardwood you will also find the very important iron ore in the Forest of Valor.
Hardwood is very easy to get, for example in the “Glade of Trust”.
As is so often the case, your new Disney friends in particular will demand the hardwood you have laboriously collected from you as part of their main and side quests. In addition to the quests, hardwood is also a part of numerous upgrades, such as the shovel blade upgrade. You'll need this improvement to your shovel to dig out tree stumps that block your way. To get it, you'll have to collect 4 x hardwood, among other things.
