Warzone 2's DMZ mode is currently the most exciting shooter out there, but without friends you rarely stand a chance. We'll show you seven tips and tricks on how to succeed as a solo player in DMZ.
Here's the deal: DMZ is an extraction shooter mode of Warzone 2, in which you compete against the AI and other players. The latter usually show up like wolves in a pack and literally tear solo players apart. But with our solo player tips for DMZ, you'll soon be able to take on entire hordes of players. But before you do, make sure you've mastered the basics of DMZ!
If you start a round of DMZ with the intention that he or she wants to experience and win as much PvP as possible, you will lose. Your goal should be to complete the missions that are assigned to you by the 4 factions. This is how you progress in the "story" and unlock new weapons and rewards. This is also the only way to unlock access to Building 21 or the upcoming new map that will be released with Season 2 of Warzone 2.
The missions can vary in task or simply in location. Sometimes you'll collect some items, other times you'll have to complete side missions. You're sometimes outdoors, sometimes indoors. Sometimes in the city, sometimes on a mountain top. Adjust your loadout accordingly:
The next tip I have for you is to choose the right loadout. I'm talking about the weapon and the grenade/equipment. You know that a good loadout includes a level 3 vest or a large backpack. The choice of weapons should be based on your active mission. If you have to move mainly indoors, then choose an MP or assault rifle. If you are outdoors a lot, then choose a machine gun or a sniper. The loadout you choose will be adapted to your solo trip:

Actually, this tip belongs to the loadout, of course. But the throwing knives are so important and indispensable for every solo player in DMZ that we list them separately. Because every hit with a throwing knife sends your opponent immediately to the boards. It doesn't matter which part of your body you hit or at what distance you hit your opponent. A short math equation: throwing knife + hit = knockout
If you choose the throwing knives in your loadout, you start with two of them. If you ambush your opponents and hit two out of three players, you've levelled the playing field. You could play with the controller to make hitting players much easier. The aiming assistance is extremely strong in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 respectively!
On the DMZ map Al Mazrah there are fixed spawn points where players can start, but don't have to start. You have two ways to memorize these locations. The hard way is to just play a lot and memorize all the spawn points. In doing so, you listen for gunfire to identify where other players are.
You can also let us do the work for you. Use our enhanced DMZ map with all spawn points. There are round starts where you are immediately surrounded by two squads. And there are rounds where you are completely alone at the start. Therefore, memorize all locations and neighboring starting points for players well and adapt!
In DMZ you are not really alone. Your possible allies are called environment and Al-Qatala. Once you have spotted your enemies and they are in your way, you have to take them out of the game quickly and surprisingly. However, you should not fire at them at the first opportunity. Instead, follow them for a while and find out where they are going. If they move towards the city, the fight will be more difficult for you. You will quickly lose track of the position here.
But do you have the cover or the elevated position on a slope? Then go for it. If your opponents get into a firefight with the AI, then hold on! For a split moment, players will mistake your shots for those of Al-Qatala's AI soldiers. Use these few moments to inflict as much damage as possible. Attention: If you can only kill one player and you are in the open, change your position as soon as possible!

The safest method of movement in DMZ is the LTV, an armored vehicle with or without armament. With the LTV you can quickly run over many AI enemies, including assassination targets from missions. The AI doesn't oppose the vehicle much, because they always fire in volleys and take a short break after each baller orgy. So run over a lot of enemies and complete missions with the LTV. This way you'll quickly collect money to buy missing equipment like self-revival or armor plates at purchase stations.
Where do you get the LTV? You can buy the armored vehicle at buying stations for $18,000, or you can start a cargo mission in which you will be given an LTV. Normally in this mission, you would be followed by a helicopter. However, if you select the map, there is an action button (on the PC "B") that you can use to abort a mission in progress. The cargo mission is canceled, and no helicopter arrives, but one LTV is received -- congrats.

All of the above tips are for solo players who start a round of DMZ with really good equipment. But if you're just starting out, or you came out of the last round as a loser with no equipment, what then? For this case, you just have to do a "Radioactive Material" mission. All you have to do in this side mission is to find two containers that are hidden. In these containers you will find loot and money. But the most important thing is the Radioactive Material, because you can buy it for around $20,000.
The advantage is that these missions are usually ignored by squads. Only one player can carry and sell the radioactive material.
