In Woody’s quest “Failing Better”, you have to help Woody in Disney Dreamlight Valley to cook, bake and later fish and grow wheat. This guide will show you how to complete this quest.
This is the quest: Woody is embarrassed because he wanted to make himself useful by helping Remy to cook. Unfortunately, this didn’t work out so well. Now you have to help him make up for those mistakes.
Failing Better—Quest: Help Remy in Dreamlight Valley
Your first task after activating this quest will be to talk to Remy. From him, you will learn that Woody wanted to help him with cooking, and now you are supposed to try his dishes. You will now receive the dishes that Woody prepared with the best conscience:
- Slimy Paste
- Salty garlic cheesecake
From your inventory, you should taste these dishes and eat them accordingly. After that, you describe to Remy how you felt about the dishes and give feedback to Woody as well. You will receive the dishes that Remy originally asked Woody to prepare.

Once you’ve finished the dishes, take them to Remy and talk to Woody afterward.
Woody Quest: Cod and Wheat
Follow Woody to the Shimmering Beach and talk to him there to get your next task. You have to collect the following ingredients now:
- 3x Cod
- 3x Wheat

You can fish for cod on the Dazzling Beach, the Glade of Trust, and in the Forgotten Lands. If you get a cod through the bonus or the specialty of a resident, it does not count. There must be 3 directly caught cod.
You can sell the remaining cod later for 35 coins each, or eat one to get + 150 energy.
Here you can Find Wheat
At Goofy’s stall on the peaceful meadow, you can buy wheat or wheat seeds. Wheat seeds take 1 minute to grow before you can harvest them. You can sell the harvested wheat for 2 coins, or eat it, which gives you +19 energy.
Once you have collected both, you need to talk to Woody, who will give you the task to bring the ingredients to Goofy.
Failing Better Quest: Find Memory and Complete the Quest
Take the collected cod and wheat to Goofy and give them to him. After that, meet Woody in front of his carousel and talk to him.
Clean up the junk in his carousel on Woody’s behalf and examine it. After you have removed all the scrap or garbage, you will receive a reminder, which you will examine. After that, talk to Woody again to complete the quest.
