Hogwarts Legacy: All 16 Daedalian Keys for Relic House Uniform

In Hogwarts Legacy, during your playthrough, you’ll get the side quest “The Daedalian Keys”, in which you’ll have to find 16 keys in Hogwarts to collect house tokens. At the end, you can use them to open your house chest and get one of the coolest capes in the game: the Relic House Uniform.

These are the Daedalian Keys: Within the first few hours of the game, you’ll receive a side quest from Nellie Ogspire in the Astronomy Wing’s transfiguration courtyard, where you’re supposed to follow a key. These fly in front of you like dragonflies and lead you to a house cabinet. You can use the key to get a token for your chosen house. You need 16 of them.

To find all 16 Daedalian Keys, of course, you must first accept the side quest “The Daedalian Keys” from Nellie Ogspire in the Astronomy Wing’s Transfiguration Courtyard. You should also know the lock picking spell Alohomora, as a few cabinets are behind locked doors.

1st Daedalian Key: Astronomy Classroom

Once you start the quest at Nellie Ogspire, the quest marker will also take you directly to the first key – here, when you activate it, you must wait for the Daedalian Key to fly above the keyhole before you strike.

2nd Daedalian Key: Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom

Go to the dark arts classroom and run down the stairs to the rhinoceros skeleton. You will find the key, which will lead you to the matching cabinet.

3rd Daedalian Key: Library

Travel to the library; the key is on the right side of the bookshelves. The key will take you to the other side where you will find the cabinet.

4th Daedalian Key: Central Hall / Viaduct

When you get to the central hall, run up the stairs towards the viaduct, but don’t run through the door. Instead, go to the right and look behind the staircase. The key there will lead you back down to the cabinet.

5th Daedalian Key: Central Hall / Courtyard

If you walk from the central hall towards the greenhouses, you will find the key on the right side of the door. The key will then lead you back across the central hall to the other side, where you will find the matching cabinet to the right of the large door opposite the door puzzle.

6th Daedalian Key: Map Room

If you teleport to the map room, provided you are far enough in the main story, you will find this key very easily. Leave the map room and walk up the spiral staircase until you reach a large stone chamber. Here you will find the key near an eye chest. Then the key will lead you further down the hallway into a room full of wooden crates.

7th Daedalian Key: Faculty Wing

For Gladwyn Moon’s main quest, in which you learn lock picking, you should sneak into the faculty wing. You’ll see the cabinet on the stairs as soon as you enter the forbidden zone. You will also find the key further up the stairs. If this mission is too tricky, you can come back later and collect the key.

8th Daedalian Key: Faculty Wing / Bathroom

During Gladwyn Moon’s mission you will find another cabinet further up. Walk up the stairs, including the spiral staircase, until you see a corridor on your left towards the clock tower, which is full of pictures. Here you will find the key that will lead you back. The cabinet is on the same level next to the bathroom entrance.

9. Daedalian Key: Potion Classroom

Once you have teleported to the Potions classroom, you will find a key directly to your left by the stairs. It will lead you down the stairs to the cabinet.

10th Daedalian Key: Sleeping Dragon

From the courtyard of the bell tower take the left staircase and go straight through the door. Here you take the stairs down and go through the next door into the transformation room. Walk further down to the sleeping dragon, where the key awaits you. This will take you back up a bit, where you will find the cabinet in the corner.

11th Daedalian Key: North Hall / History of Magic

From the courtyard of the bell tower take the left staircase and go straight through the door. This time take the stairs one floor up. Here, next to the History of Magic classroom, you will find the key that will take you all the way to the top. Here you will find the cabinet in the corner.

12th Daedalian Key: Clock Tower

On the left side of the clock tower you will find a locked door that you can open with Alohomora. Run up the stairs, where you will find the key. The key will lead you to another passage further up, where you will find the cabinet in the corner.

13th Daedalian Key: Viaduct Courtyard / Entrance Hall

From the viaduct courtyard, walk to the entrance hall. Directly behind the entrance on the left side is the cabinet, you will find the key when you continue walking towards the Great Hall.

14th Daedalian Key: Courtyard

From the great hall, run right through the large double doors out to the courtyard. Then run straight ahead and down the stairs until you pass through a large archway. Here you will find the key. Follow it down the stairs, then keep left, and you’ll find the cabinet in the corner.

15th Daedalian Key: Grand Staircase

From the big hall, turn around and go outside. Also run through the second door until you are in the entrance hall. Then run up the stairs to the left, and you’ll run right past the cabinet. You can find the matching key at the grand staircase further up.

16th Daedalian Key: Great Hall

In the Great Hall you will find the key in the corridor on the left side, at one of the puzzle doors. The key will lead you back to the Great Hall on the other side, where you can walk up a staircase to find the last cabinet.
