There is no Nimbus 2000 in Hogwarts Legacy, but there are other cool brooms. In our guide, we'll show you how to get them and upgrade your broom to level 3 for maximum speed.

Here's what's up: If you want to fly in Hogwarts Legacy, you'll need a broom. You can get your first one for 600 gold during a side mission. But you can find more cool brooms in the open game world or unlock them through achievements. All brooms have the same speed but can be upgraded up to 3 times.

6 cool brooms in Hogwarts Legacy and how to get them!

Once you have obtained your first broom, continue with your quests. This will lead to you getting closer to other cool brooms. Here we have 6 brooms for you that look particularly unique.

Silver Arrow Broom

The Silver Arrow Broom is not unlockable, but you can buy it. The goblin Arn, who is in Lower Hawksfield, has a quest for you. In an enemy goblin camp nearby, you are to destroy all the goblins and bring back his trade cart. In return, you will be allowed to use his store and have the opportunity to buy the Silver Arrow Broom for 5,000 gold.

Sky Scythe Broom

Just like the Silver Arrow Broom, you have to buy the Sky Scythe Broom for 5,000 gold. You can find the merchant named Leoppold Babcocke near Hogswart.

Night Dancer Broom, Lickety Swift Broom, Wild Fire Broom & Bright Spark Broom

To get these 4 special brooms, you'll have to do nothing more than pop the balloons that are scattered throughout Hogwarts Legacy. Every few balloon sets you will unlock one of these brooms:

  • 2 Balloon Sets: Night Dancer Broom
  • 5 balloon sets: Lickety Swift Broom
  • 10 Balloon Sets: Wild Fire Broom
  • 15 Balloon Sets: Bright Spark Broom

To get the brooms, you need to go to the menu and click on the lowest category, your challenges. Then go to Exploration, and here you'll see in second place how far you've already gone with the balloons. Once you have destroyed enough balloons, you can click on the icons and claim your reward.

How to Upgrade your Brooms for Maximum Speed to Level 3

In Hogsmeade, you'll meet the broom salesman Albie Weekes, who will give you missions from time to time throughout the game. In these side quests, you must fly races and reach the finish line first. Once you have completed such a side quest, Albie uses the collected data and works on an improvement. You will then be notified by owl mail when you can buy an upgrade. The upgrades will cost gold, of course:

  • Upgrade 1: 1,000 Gold
  • Upgrade 2:  4,000 Gold
  • Upgrade 3:  7,500 Gold

Each upgrade increases the maximum speed of your flying brooms. How high the increase is, however, is not known. Nevertheless, it is worth buying all 3 upgrades.
