In Hogwarts Legacy, the Shrivelfig Fruit makes everyday life much easier for wizards, because it is the basic ingredient for the paralyzing Thunder Brew. We’ll tell you where you can find the little helper, and how you can plant its seeds.
Paralytic and rare: The Shrivelfig Fruit is a little fruit that all Hogwarts students want to have in their planting tables. This is because the purple potion ingredient has highly unpleasant properties for villains, as it produces the paralyzing Thunder Brew. But the Shrivelfig Fruit can also be purchased, at least in one very specific store.
Where to Find the Shrivelfig Fruit
Yes: The Shrivelfig Fruit can be reliably obtained at only one place in Hogwarts Legacy, and that is at the store “The Magic Neep” in the far northwest of Hogsmeade (see map marker below). Its owner, Timothy Teasdale, also carries the seeds of the fruit. A full-grown specimen will cost you 150 Galleons, and you can get six Shrivelfig fruits for the price of five, so it’s not only bakers who give such quantity discounts. For a seed you pay at least twice as much.
By the way, you can also use the Shrivelfig Fruit for other potions, such as keeping damage away from you. However, the paralyzing properties of the fruit are the most useful. By the way, the Thunder Brew doesn’t work by pouring it over an enemy’s head. Rather, you drink the stuff, after which several thunderclouds form around you, causing paralysis on contact.

How to Plant the Seeds of Shrivelfig Fruit
There are, as for so much else in Hogwarts Legacy, conditions for growing Shrivelfig seeds. For example, you must have progressed far enough in the main story to be able to summon plant tables with at least one medium-sized plant pot in the Room of Requirement. These must also first be purchased at Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade. All in all, you should prepare yourself for an investment of 700 Galleons here, but it’s really worth it. From the seeds of the Shrivelfig Fruit grow an unlimited number of fruits.
