In doing so, you try to collect as much loot as possible. If you escape, you keep your loot. If you die, however, you lose everything you’ve collected. How to Extract from the Dungeon in Dark and Darker
In Dark and Darker, you can’t stay in one place endlessly because a zone keeps pushing you further and further into the center. In addition, different levels in the game can make navigation difficult.
You must find a blue headstone to escape from the dungeon after successful battles. This is a small stone that has blue cracks. When you activate it, a portal opens, and you can go through it and disappear. You will keep all your loot.
Find a Blue Headstone: The blue headstones appear randomly after a certain time. As soon as a blue headstone appears, you will be informed about it in the upper right corner of the screen. Often the headstones are located in the middle of the zone and are highly contested.
Note: When playing with others, only one can use the portal simultaneously. So each player in the group must find their headstone.

Beware of the Red Headstones
If you are wandering through the dungeons and you come across a red headstone, we recommend that, as a beginner, you do not use it. Red headstones also open a portal. However, this does not let you escape from the dungeon – on the contrary. They teleport you deeper into the dungeon to even harder places. So beware of the red headstones and try to save your loot through the blue portals.
