This guide explains how to get the treasure map of the “Ghost of our Love” quest in Hogwarts Legacy, but also how to find the treasure and successfully complete the quest.
How to start the quest and what your task is: To start the quest, you must have completed the first treasure hunt quest. To find the next treasure map, you have to follow your main quest until you first encounter the ghost of Jackdaw. Depending on the chosen house, this is regulated a bit differently; Slytherins, for example, end up in a grotto, and Ravenclaws have to go to the owlery, where they will find the treasure map.
A Touch of Love Quest: The Treasure Hunt
On the map, you will see a bridge, a wand, an old gate, a village, trees, and a moon at the top left.
What do the Clues on the Treasure Map Mean?
- Candles, Wand, and Moon: The wand is the sign, or rather the symbol, of the Lumos spell, which, as you already know, produces light. So in connection with the moon, it is important that it is night.
- Village: For orientation and simplicity, let’s look at the village. This will represent Hogsmeade.
- Bridge, Gate, and Forest: The gate is the entrance to the forbidden forest you passed on the way to Hogsmeade.
Complete the Quest Successfully
Wait until dark and go to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest, which is on the way to Hogsmeade. With some luck, you’ve already unlocked the Floo Powder Station at the entrance, so you’ll only have to make a quick trip over. Turn away from the gate and stand on the bridge that’s close by.

Use Lumos to make the floating candles appear, which you can also see on the treasure map and which you should follow. On the front bridge bollard, you can find the love letter belonging to the quest. As soon as you deactivate Lumos, the candles will also disappear, so keep Lumos activated until you reach the destination.
Follow the candles until you arrive at a table with chairs inside the forbidden forest. Immediately, more floating candles will appear around you. Complete the quest by opening the treasure chest on the floor. As a reward, you will receive new items related to your appearance.
