Hogwarts Legacy is now playable on all platforms and players are busy collecting new gear — sometimes pretty, sometimes cool, sometimes completely off. That’s why we’re going to show you how to change your appearance.
What’s the problem? During your magical journey through the Wizarding World, you’ll be bombarded with tons of gear like robes, goggles, and hats. Outfits don’t always fit together like that, and that’s why there’s the possibility to customize the appearance of items of clothing in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to customize the appearance of gear in Hogwarts Legacy
Up front, in order for you to change your appearance, you must have already found items. If you want to change your robe, but haven’t completed any secret puzzles or opened hidden chests like eyed chests, you might not have any robes. You can also get other equipment through chests, puzzles or quests.
If you are currently moving around Hogwarts like a clown and want to change your appearance, all you have to do is go to your inventory:
- Select the “Equipment” tab.
- Hover over the piece of clothing you want to equip.
- Press Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox and F on PC.
- A new window will open where you can customize the appearance of the gear.
You can customize all equipment as long as you have a spare. For hats, goggles, scarves and gloves, you can even set them to wear no clothes at all. As a Digital Deluxe Edition pre-orderer, you’ll also find the Dark Mage Robe, Hat, Scarf, and Glove. The following images show how we transformed our wizard from a clown into a fearsome warrior:
