The new Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy has been launched, and as an aspiring wizard, you can also learn the Unforgivable Curses. Our guide will tell you what they are and how to unlock them.
These are Unforgivable Curses: In the Harry Potter universe, the three Unforgivable Curses are magical forms of extreme violence, the use of which is prohibited by the Ministry of Magic under the threat of life imprisonment in Azkaban.
The three Unforgivable Curses are:
Now that you know what Unforgivable Curses are in Hogwarts Legacy, the question remains: How can you learn them as a diligent student? It's not that easy and assumes that you're already well-advanced in the story.
Sebastian Sallow is one of the key characters to learn the unforgivable curses later in the game. The Slitherin student is one of 2 NPCs you will meet and join at the beginning of your adventure. His story is linked to those of the curses, as a goblin cursed his sister, and now he is looking for a way to cure her from it.
Here you'll have to follow the main story normally and help Sebastian Sallow. Later in the game, you will unlock a side mission called “In the Shadow of the Bloodline”. Your quest to the unforgivable curses begins, and your character should already be over level 20.
Crucio Curse: The first curse you will receive is the Crucio Curse during the “In the Shadow of the Study” side quest. The recommended level is 16, but you'll probably already be over 20. What makes this quest special is that you can choose what you do at the end. You can decide not to learn the curse, or you can learn it and cast it on your friends or have it cast on you to open a cursed door.
Here you must pick option 2 or 3; you want to learn Crucio.
Imperio Curse: After you learn Crucio, you'll have to wait a while. You can do more main quests, and after a while, the next quest for Imperio will pop up; “In the Shadow of Time” with a recommended level of 17.
During the quest, you'll enter catacombs built like a large dungeon. You'll mainly fight spiders here and eventually learn the Imperio Curse. Here, in the end, you can only choose whether you want to learn the spell or not.

Avada Kedavra: To unlock the final curse, you'll have to wait a bit again. Once you have completed enough other quests, the next curse quest will appear; “In the Shadow of the Relic” is a level 28 mission, so it is much more difficult than the previous two. So you should get it just before the end of the game.
Here you'll have to return to the catacombs again and see the effects of the curses. The catacombs seem much scarier, and more enemies, including the undead, want to get at you. Sebastian Sallow uses Avada Kedavra here and teaches it to you at the end.
YouTuber TmarTn2 has created a video for the quest series:
Congratulations, you are now in possession of all 3 unforgiving curses! You can use the curses in combat against all opponents but not in normal duels. If you want to train with the spells, you can use the Dark Arts Arena.
The Deluxe Edition or the even more expensive Legacy Collectors Edition gives you access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena. Here you can also train with the deadly curses and use them freely.
How to enter the arena: You can use the Revelio spell to reveal invisible jars and destroy them. You need to break a total of 10 jars to open the entrance to the arena. A cutscene will show you if you are successful. Afterward, you must go to the corresponding statue and enter the arena.
The battle, in which you'll have to destroy waves of enemies, starts immediately after entering the arena. Here you can freely use your curses and train with them.
