When you use Revilio in Hogwarts Legacy, this spell will reveal hidden or simple objects nearby, including the “blank” pictures on the wall. Our guide will show you how to solve the mystery of these pictures.
What it’s about: You’ve probably seen them before, the frames that light up blue after you used Revilio. However, the inside of these frames is pitch black. There is a simple solution, to solve these puzzles and get a field guide paige as a reward.
Activate and Solve The “Like a Moth to a Frame”-Quest
The important clue to finding the solution to this riddle is given to you by a fellow student from Hogwarts, whom you can meet pensively in front of a painting in the library annex. By talking to her, she introduces herself as Lenora Everleigh, who then tells you that the solution to the riddle has something to do with the Lumos spell. She also tells you, that you should visit her again as soon as you find out something “enlightening”. By doing this, you have now activated a relationship quest or rather the side quest “Like a moth to a frame”.
Now place yourself directly in front of the painting and activate Lumos, which should slowly reveal the painting’s image.
The place that is now displayed in the painting, is a place near you. Find this place and activate Revilio one more time. Your character will talk to you once you are at the right place. Look around and find something that has been marked blue by Revelio: like a moth on the wall.
Activate Lumos to attract the moth with the light and, while keeping Lumus activated, lead it back to the picture that started the puzzle. Deactivate Lumus, right in front of the picture, and let the moth settle on the frame. The frame will turn black and much smaller moths will fly through the air until the painting disappears.
