In the space extraction shooter Marauders, your inventory management needs to make perfect use of every slot, and for that you need to be able to split items and stacks. In this short guide, we will explain how to split your item stacks in Marauders.
What is the problem? Marauders, just like other genre representatives of the extraction shooter, trumps with overflowing item inventories. It starts with the question: "Do I rather take 3 weapons with me or a bottle of chemicals?" and ends with the question: "How do I get all this shit into my global inventory? Especially when stowing consumables like ammo and crafting resources, it's important to fit them into the smallest of corners. Now we'll tell you how you can split items in Marauders and how you can keep them well sorted.
How you split items: It can be so simple and yet Marauders just doesn't tell you:
Currently, it is not possible to type in the quantity quickly. To split your items in Marauders, you always have to set the quantity using the slider. You can then simply reassemble the split item stacks via drag-and-drop.

How do you stow the items correctly? Since Day 1 of Marauders, we've been doing best with the "pack together what belongs together" method, which simply means: we stow the inventory along the left edge with weapons, there's plenty of room, on the right side we stow a vest there filled with ammo for the respective adjacent weapons. We also stow attachments to the right of the weapon (if not attached). Crafting materials, on the other hand, we stow at the bottom of the inventory, where we can easily puzzle them.
