New World: How to start with friends in the same area

Amazon's new MMORPG New World is almost there. The servers will go online on September 28th, and you can play with friends together. But what's that? Your friends start totally randomly in other places and are bound with their quests there. We'll tell you how you can start together!

That's going on: Amazon's MMORPG New World starts its launch on September 28th, 2021 after several postponements. If you want to start your adventure together with your friends, however, you will run into a problem: Each character starts at a random starting point and is bound there, after a few quests. You can go to your friends, but you can only complete your main storyline in the area of your city.

So if you want to start out with your friends in New World and hit the same area, there are a few possible solutions.

You should pay attention to these things beforehand:

• Select the same server!
• That's it, let's move on!

How to play with friends:

As soon as you have created a character, the tutorial starts, at the end of which you defeat a boss. Then you will end up randomly in one of the 4 starting areas: Monarch's Bluff, Everfall, Windsward, or First Light.

If you do not end up with your friends in the same area or generally not in the desired area, the following solutions are available:

1. Try Again: Probably the easiest way is to delete the character and recreate it until everyone is in the desired location. This can take a long time. Pro-tip: The tutorial can be skipped via the ESC menu!
2. Just run: A not-so-random solution is to just run to your friends. All you have to do is hand in the first "Sole Survivor" quest at the Watchtower in your starting area. The quest giver will offer you another quest. Do not accept this quest! Instead, walk to your friends' starting area and accept the quest there (shown on your map). This is how you bind yourself to the desired area.

   Attention: The paths are very long and involve many dangers. Stick to paths and take with you every city you find. Should you die, you will start again in the starting area or in one of the cities (respawn-Points) that you discover on your way.

If you successfully complete one of these steps, you are tied to the area with your main story, and you can play Amazon's New World together with your friends.
