Nightingale “Hope” Explained

Just starting your adventure in the Fae Realms, “Hope” does not play an essential role. We didn't even pay attention to it at first. However, as soon as we discovered the first Site of Powers, we discovered a foggy wall the Dark Souls style blocking the passage to the dungeon.

This obstacle is an indicator that you are not yet strong enough, or rather your “Hope” is too low for this dungeon in Nightingale. Therefore, if you want to get Realm Cards, you have to learn about this stat and learn how to restore it.

Fortunately, in reality, everything is simpler than it seems. “Hope” is your overall Score in Nightingale. In other words, it is the result of your progress in research and crafting. And it is calculated from your other three Scores:

• Gear Score
• Estate Score
• Deeds Score

How to Restore “Hope” in Nightingale

Since “Hope” consists of different Scores, you need to work on increasing them. It took us some time to understand that only increasing each of the Scores effectively affects “Hope”. Therefore, here are some tips on how you can restore “Hope”:

• Increase Gear Score: This Score indicates how good the gear and weapons you are carrying are. Therefore, to increase it, you just need to find or craft more powerful equipment. It will also help you clear dungeons more easily, so you should spend the most time on this.
• Increase Estate Score: This Score shows how good your base is, namely crafting stations. Just build new stations and upgrade them to increase this stat. It is important to note that all of these crafting stations must be located in your base to affect the Estate Score.
• Increase Deeds Score: Finally, your Deeds Score reflects your actions in the Realms. More specifically, this Score increases with each quest you complete. So you better help all the NPCs on your way.

By increasing these three Scores, your “Hope” will also increase in Nightingale. And when you reach the required “Faith”, you will be able to enter Sites of Powers. They play a crucial role in your progression, so you have to visit them eventually.
