You can buy leather, silk and fabric as finished products from Tish in her the store in Kilima. Just walk into her store, stand in front of the cash register, and press the F key to open the sale. Here you can find, among many other items, leather, silk, and fabric for the following prices:
To make leather, silk, and fabric, you have to buy the recipe for the fabric maker for 100 Coins from Tish. The recipe for the fabric maker will be unlocked after you leveled your furniture-making skill. Craft the fabric maker, at your workbench, with the following materials:
With level 6 of furniture making, you can buy the recipe for making silk for 1500 coins, also from Tish.

You are now able to make leather, silk, and fabric on your fabric maker:
Leather: You make leather from Sernuk Leather. You need 1x Sernuk Leather, to get 1x Fabric after 5 minutes in the fabric maker. Leather has a retail value of 15 coins for you.
Silk: Silk is made from silk threads that you receive from insects when you catch them. Examples for which insects will give you silk threads are the princess ladybug, or the shiny centipede. For 1x silk, you need 5x silk threads, and then you have to wait 10 minutes for the production. After that, silk has a worth of 145 coins.
Fabric: Fabric is made from cotton, which you can grow yourself. You can buy the seeds from Zekis store and with the help of a seed collector you can produce the seeds yourself from harvested plants. From planting the cotton seeds to harvesting them, it takes 5 in game days. After harvesting, the production of 1x fabric takes another 8 minutes and requires 1x cotton.
