Wolf spiders are aggressive contemporaries you will encounter in the swamp area, where you will also find Lisandra. They will attack you as soon as they see you, so you better stay on your guard and ensure you have your sword ready.
Weakness: Wolf Spiders are sensitive to blade damage, so you do the most damage to them with a sword.
How to Tame the Wolf Spider in Smalland
What you should know: To tame most animals and insects in Smalland, you need a corresponding treat with which you can feed them. Each animal has its own taste, and the recipes differ from each other.
How to Prepare the Wolf Spider Treat
Once you have defeated the giant albino spider and brought its eye to Lisandra, you will receive the recipe for the wolf spider treats. To prepare a treat, you will need these ingredients:
- 1 x Grasshopper Leg
- Obtained after sending a grasshopper to heaven.
- 2 x Spider Eye
- Obtained after defeating a spider.
- 3 x Insect Wings
- Obtained after ending a flying insect, such as bees or wasps.
- 1 x Petal
- Obtained by farming flowers, such as poppies.
- 2 x Seed Oil
- It is made at the stone cutter from seeds, which you also get when harvesting flowers.
Once you have collected all the ingredients together, interact with the cauldron and select Wolf Spider Treat on the left side. Clicking on it will prepare it.

You can find wolf spiders, and other spiders, in the swamp area in the south. We have highlighted the location on the map below:
How to Tame a Wolf Spider
Once you have the wolf spider treats in your inventory, you can start looking for a wolf spider in the swamp. This shouldn’t take long, as there are plenty of them there. If you found one, proceed as follows:
- Approach the wolf spider and damage it with a weapon.
- After a while, you will be shown that you can tame it by feeding it.
- Then press the corresponding button displayed in the command and feed the wolf spider with its treat. In our case, it was tamed after just one feeding.
You can heal the damage you inflicted on the wolf spider afterward by dropping a portion of food in front of it. However, the wolf spider treat does not work for this. After that, you can sit on your spider and ride off. The special features of the wolf spider are its excellent climbing skills, as well as its help should you be attacked. In this case, the wolf spider will go straight for the attacker and help you defeat it.
Good to know: If the wolf spider follows you while you are going up into your tree base, this one will also come with you and stand around in your base.
