In order not to starve, it is necessary to prepare food in the sandbox survival game Sons of the Forest. How you can do that exactly, and how you can get everything you need for it, is explained by this guide.
What it’s about: If your hunger indicator drops, you are hungry. After some time, being hungry will lead you to become tired, which causes your stamina to regenerate slower. If you are attacked at such a moment, it is fatal since you won’t be able to defend yourself properly due to the lack of stamina. At a higher difficulty level, hunger can even damage your health; if you don’t pay attention to it, it can even kill you.

How to Get Raw Meat
Build a weapon such as a bow or a spear and hunt the animals on the island with it. Approach the animals slowly and stay at a certain distance so as not to startle them. Shoot the animals with the bow or throw them with the spear. Once you have hit them, go up to them and press the action key E, with which you can get the animals. You can find the raw meat in your inventory.
Often you can run toward the animals with a spear. Squirrels and seagulls, in particular, can be killed quickly.
Prepare Raw meat for eating
To make raw meat suitable for eating, you need a campfire in which you can cook or roast it. Once your campfire is lit, stand in front of it and interact with it to open your inventory. You can throw the meat into the fire with the left mouse button. You can throw several pieces of meat into the fire simultaneously and roast them.
Stand next to the campfire and ensure your meat does not char but still achieves a good browning. After about 10 seconds, you can remove the meat from the fire and devour it as soon as it changes color.
