In the Starfield game, after completing the Tapping the Grid quest, you will need to talk to Louisa Reyez again and find out that she continues to work on the power drain in the Well. She will ask for your help before talking to the Trade Authority, and a new quest will be unlocked. Here’s a walkthrough of the Alternating Currents quest in Starfield.
In this quest, you will need to find and activate the Junction Boxes, which may seem difficult for some players. However, it won’t be difficult for you if you follow our guidelines below.
Starfield: How to Find Junction Boxes
After you talk to Louisa and go to the Trade Authority to meet Zoe Kaminski, you will discover that the power leak does exist, but not because of the Trade Authority. Zoe will also ask you to activate certain Junction Boxes, which you can find out by using a scanner.
When you find the first Junction Box 36B, you’ll need to jump across the gap in the platform. After you activate it, you’ll hear a small argument between Louisa and Zoe about whether the next one should be Junction Box 45A near Apex Electronics or 47B, which is on the same level.
It seems that it doesn’t matter which Junction Box you activate, but we went with 47B because it is closer.
The last Junction Box 101F is on the surface, so you’ll need to head to the Residential District and find the Junction Box, which is located on the facade of the building near the CJ’s store.

How to Find and Obtain Evidence
After you have activated the last Junction Box, you will need to take the elevator to the Athena Tower Apartment, the entrance to which is right next to you. Once you’re up there, you’ll have to use the Digipick to unlock the locked door to the apartment. When you’re inside, find and interact with Unauthorized Computer. You’ll see various tabs, but you’ll need to select Download Files to collect evidence.
Should You Give the Data to Reyez or Kaminski?
After that, you can return to The Well and give the data to Reyez or Kaminski. No matter who you provide the information to, you will be rewarded with 2000 credits and 75 XP for completing the quest.
