Arma Reforger is more and more likely and the livestream about the future of Arma starts tomorrow. In the run-up, however, new images and artworks of the game world have already appeared, which put all Arma maps and DayZ in the shade.
What's going on? A few days ago, Czech developer Bohemia Interactive announced that it would be hosting a live stream about the future of the Arma series. It will take place on Tuesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. CET on the developer's channel. Whether Arma Reforger will really be announced here is under wraps, but new screenshots from the game are popping up more and more often, which we know are from a Bohemia Project.
What is Arma Reforger? Arma Reforger is a spin-off of the Armed Assault series, which is supposed to be playable in multiplayer only. In addition, the controls are said to have been greatly simplified so that Reforger is also playable on the Xbox Series. The setting goes back to the 80s and the map Everon. However, there is a lot more leaked info about Arma Reforger, which we already collected a few days ago.
What do the screenshots show? The well-known Bohemia leaker Biosphere has shared two new images on his private Twitter account. First, he presents the new logo of Arma Reforger and says "I told you so". In this picture we see classic military equipment from the 80s of the 20th century. If the leak is true, the Cold War seems to be confirmed as the setting.
Screenshot number two is a bit more interesting: the Arma series stands out for gigantism in every respect. This is especially evident in the maps of the series, which put AAA open-world games in the shade. The largest map to date is Altis from Arma 3, with an area of over 440 km².
In Arma Reforger, it could apparently go back to the origin of the series, because the map shown so far is Everon. However, the Everon map appears to have a new look. With completely new assets, tons of details, better verticality and extremely high visibility. As a caption, the leaker Biosphere once again confirms that for the first time in the series, there will be no single-player campaign.
A few months ago, we found many more screenshots of the new Arma. The developer had hidden them as breadcrumbs on the in-house website about the new Enfusion Engine over the past year.
When will you learn more? On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 7 p.m. CET, you can learn more about the future of Arma and Reforger. You can watch the livestream on the developer Bohemia Interactive's Twitch channel. In addition, the leaker reveals that Arma 4 will also be part of the stream.
