Season 2 Reloaded launches today for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Here you can find out at what time it starts and what the new season offers; we also give a first preview of Season 3.
Season 2 Reloaded starts very soon: About a week ago, the official Call of Duty blog already informed about the upcoming new content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The download is scheduled to start at 5 p.m CET or 11 p.m. ET:
- North America (West Coast): 9 a.m. PT
- North America (East Coast): 12 p.m. ET
- UK: 5 p.m. GMT
- Europe: 6 p.m. CET

CoD MW 2: The Content of Season 2 Reloaded
- Raid Episode 2: Here you take control of Captain Price, Farah and Gaz as they trek through Atomic Grade in search of a deadly warhead.
- Himmelmatt Expo: Will be added to the multiplayer map rotation. For this new core multiplayer map, Activision promises “a scenic winter getaway in an exclusive mountain resort.”
- Celebrating Warzone’s Third Anniversary: To mark the anniversary of the original Call of Duty: Warzone, which was released in March 2020, the store will be giving out free gifts “every few days.”
- Earn Season 2 Camos: Here, the path of Ronin is to continue with additional challenges, read: new camo challenges for each weapon class.
- New Weapon: For Snipers, Season 2 will feature the new Tempus Torrent Marksman sniper rifle.
- Cross-Promotion: Whatever Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is doing on the battlefields of Call of Duty – he is included in the new Tracer Pack Operator Bundle.

In addition, the following content is scheduled to be released later in Season 2 Reloaded:
- Operator Bundles Task Force 141: Farah, Ghost, and Price will each receive new operator bundles.
- Party Queuing: Conditionally allows you to join groups that are currently in a match. Your joining will occur once the players in that group have finished the active match.
- Shuriken: New projectiles
- Game modes: All or Nothing, Drop Zone and One in the Chamber.

But even apart from today’s season launch, there is news at Call of Duty. Activision has teased the contents of the third season via Modern Warfare II Informer on Twitter. Among other things, three new core maps and operators can be expected; you can read more about this below.
Modern Warfare 2: Season 3 Contents Teased
Although the content of the “reloaded” second season isn’t even available yet, the loquacious “Modern Warfare II Informer” on Twitter has already given glimpses of Season 3. Vague glimpses, of course. The tweet doesn’t give any concrete information on map titles or design, for example, but does go into bare facts and figures. Accordingly, the third season is expected to include:
- 3 new operators
- 3 new weapons
- 3 core maps
- One battle map
- 4 Gunfight maps
- One Spec Ops mission
- One new raid
- One new event
- 70 bundles (quotation incoming: “Unfortunately, true.”)
