Here are the new contents for Modern Warfare 2 from the Season 6 update

Thanks to a data leak at publisher Activision, we already know what's in store for the upcoming season of MW2.

  • Two new 6v6 maps for multiplayer
  • A new battle map
  • New game mode called Rupture (more on that shortly)

What is the new game mode Rupture?

Dataminers had already leaked two new game modes before the start of Season 5. One of them is called Havoc, which launched with Season 5 in Modern Warfare 2. The second game mode is called Rupture and hasn't been released yet. So, there's a very high chance that Rupture will kick off with Season 6 of MW2.

Rupture is an asymmetric multiplayer mode where one player takes on the role of the heavily armored Juggernaut. The rest of the lobby must try to defeat the Juggernaut.

  • There are new weapons:
    • Mk9 LMG
    • ISO 9
    • Dual Kamas (Halloween melee weapon)
    • PKM LMG

Some of the new weapons are likely to be part of the Season 6 Battle Pass. There are currently no images of the new weapons, but the MK 9 and ISO 9 are being taken from Modern Warfare 2019.
