Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is set to receive a wealth of new content, maps, and even a Halloween event in Season 6. We'll spill the beans on all of it.
What's It About? With the 6th Season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it's curtains for the 2022 shooter. That's because Modern Warfare 3 is already slated for release this year on November 10th for current consoles and PC. However, it seems like Warzone 2 will continue without interruption.
When does Season 6 drop? The final season for Modern Warfare 2 arrives on September 27th. PlayStation players get to download the update a day earlier. The size of the update is still unknown. However, we've already compiled many of the contents in advance, thanks to various leakers like Bghost on TikTok and Task Force Leakers on Twitter.
Summary of the Season 6 contents:
Thanks to a data leak at publisher Activision, we already know what's in store for the upcoming season of MW2.
Dataminers had already leaked two new game modes before the start of Season 5. One of them is called Havoc, which launched with Season 5 in Modern Warfare 2. The second game mode is called Rupture and hasn't been released yet. So, there's a very high chance that Rupture will kick off with Season 6 of MW2.
Rupture is an asymmetric multiplayer mode where one player takes on the role of the heavily armored Juggernaut. The rest of the lobby must try to defeat the Juggernaut.
As for the changes in Warzone 2 and DMZ, we currently know:
The adjustments to the Al Mazrah map involve visual improvements. Some locations on the map, such as the observatory, are being revised.
What exactly the new superheroes like Spawn are all about is still unclear. However, on September 21st, tomorrow, there should be all the information you need about Season 6 in Warzone and MW2. We'll be updating this article, of course!

Thanks to Task Force Leakers on Twitter, we already know that a Halloween event is planned for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. The event is called The Haunting of Al Mazrah and seems to start on October 18, 2023. The event will feature crossovers with various horror brands from pop culture, including:
Additionally, there will be more Halloween skins for the existing operators in Modern Warfare 2, including Kleo, Claisto, and Fender.
Some of the new weapons are likely to be part of the Season 6 Battle Pass. However, the Dual Kamas, described directly as a Halloween weapon, could also be a reward for special quest completions in the Halloween event. There are currently no images of the new weapons, but the MK 9 and ISO 9 are being taken from Modern Warfare 2019.
