Warzone 2’s DMZ got the new map Building 21 on December 19, which players can enter using rare key cards, actually. Currently, complaints are accumulating because the new map is locked.
What’s going on? Since yesterday, the first brave players jumped into the new DMZ map Building 21, where they can find the best loot in the game and 6x new weapon cases. Currently, however, the mode is locked, and many games report a long timer of up to 80 hours. We take a look at the reason for this and when you can play again.
Why is DMZ map Building 21 locked & when will it be playable again?
UPDATED: The locked map is not a bug or error. Originally, there was the assumption that the developers made building 21 inaccessible in order to screw with various glitches and exploits. It is not entirely clear which exploits are involved: Guided author Kevin Willing believed it was due to an exploit with the access keycards. When we were extracted from a raid, I suddenly had eight instead of one keycard from building 21. Apparently, this was confirmed by various users on reddit.com.
In the meantime, it has become clear that the Building 21 map is intentionally disabled because the developers simply intended it that way for DMZ. Thus, the secret laboratory can only be accessed a few days per week.
When will Building 21 be playable again? The developers don’t give an exact time via their social medias. It is obvious that Building 21 will be playable again after 80 hours, as soon as the timer runs out. We calculated it for some time zones. This means that Building 21 will be playable again from the following times:
- 30. December – 05:00 a.m. CET (Berlin)
- 30. December – 11:00 a.m. EST (New York)
- 31. December – 03:00 a.m. ACST (Sydney)
