A few days late, Building 21 has been unlocked in Warzone 2’s DMZ and just like on Al Mazrah, you can find 6 weapon cases here and pick up grandiose rewards.
What it’s about? The Warzone 2 DMZ mode has finally received its new secret lab called Building 21. A few days earlier, the corresponding update was released, which also brought a first clan system. Now you can enter the new map and besides the best loot in DMZ, you will also find 6 weapon cases here, for the extraction of which you will get various rewards. In this guide, we will show you how to find the weapon cases on the new map.
Find & Extract All Weapon Cases in Building 21 in DMZ
Preparation & Round Start: Before you can enter the new map in DMZ, you need to take some precautions. Most importantly, you need to find a “DRC Access Key Card” in Al Mazrah. Each access key you find will grant you and two teammates a visit to Building 21. Also, you and your teammates should take only the best equipment:
- Level 3 vests
- Medium or large backpack
- Strong & latest meta loadout
Attention! Building 21 is not always playable. You can only hop on the new map a few days a week — we have all the locking and starting times of Building 21 in DMZ for you!
Find data center & solve first task
There is only one location in building 21 where you can find all the weapon cases. However, in order to unlock this location, you will have to complete a whole series of tasks while up to 12 other players and deadly AI soldiers are hunting for you. You can’t start the tasks right at the start of the round, though.
Only after one minute, all players on the map get a message that the “Security Locks Hack in Progress”. The message also gives you a second countdown of one minute. During this time, you can already carefully make your way to the data center:
- Go through the garages to the basement hallway.
- Discover the B1 sign and go in the opposite direction of the arrow on the sign.
- You will reach a larger section of the hallway where there are several doors.
- Go right through the double doors into the data center.
Once inside the data center in building 21, you and your teammates must find the marked server. One player must permanently hold down the interaction button here. The other two players have to prevent it from being killed by the continuously spawning AI soldiers or players. Once you’ve done that, the following message will appear in the middle of the screen: “Data center hacked” and “Armory is now accessible”.

To find the armory and thus the location of the weapon cases in building 21, you need to get to the top floor, “A3”. There are two staircases on the map that lead to the very top and two doors to go with them. The stairs are located on opposite sides of the complex. The problem is that only one of the two doors is open at a time, the other is locked and cannot be opened under any circumstances. At least, you don’t have to find any of the three different keycards on Building 21. These keycards are used to open some secret rooms which offer you crazy loot!
At the moment, it is not possible to give exact directions to the armory. The lab level is simply a grid of hallways and doors. However, you can recognize the armory in Building 21 by the fact that the bright orange door is already open to the outside. If the door is closed, there are most likely players inside.
In the armory itself, you will find various red boxes and weapon boxes. However, the object of your desire is the safe, should you be looking for the weapon cases in building 21. You can open this safe as usual, and then you have to wait for a while. Unlike on Al Mazrah and in the normal DMZ mode, there are no AI soldiers streaming in here. On the contrary, they don’t seem to mind at all. So if you hear excited footsteps outside the doors of the armory, they are probably players again!
The contents of the safe of the armory can be:
- 2x weapons
- Keycard
- Cash
- Medicine
- Self Revive
- 1x Weapon Case
However, you won’t always find the same loot, it varies of course. Also, the weapon case doesn’t always seem to be part of the loot from the safe. At least that’s what some players report on YouTube. However, we’ve always been lucky so far and in four out of four cases we got one of the six weapon cases in building 21. Repeat this 6 times now and successfully extract it from the map.
Personal Tip: Unlike with searching the weapon cases in Al Mazrah, you don’t have to worry much about pursuers in Building 21. You will not be marked on the map once you pick up the weapon case.
