Call of Duty's DMZ mode is getting a new map called Koschei Complex with Season 3 Reloaded. We explain what you can expect on the new underground map and what new gameplay mechanics await you.
The Warzone 2 mode DMZ will get a new map in the next few days, which is located below the well-known Al Mazrah region. The developers are intentionally holding back with the info and say that the players should explore the new "Exclusion Zone" and all its dangers and innovations themselves. But we'll tell you what you should be prepared for:
The new map of DMZ is located in the area of Al Mazrah. However, here we go underground. You might already know this kind of adventure from Building 21, but unlike Building 21, there is no electricity here. When you start your march through the new map, you'll need a flashlight to find your way around.
So it's still unclear whether you'll enter the new (still nameless) DMZ map via the main menu. It is more likely that you will enter the map via the actual Al Mazrah map. A cryptic blog post from the developers talks about three entrances spread across the desert region.
YouTuber MrDalekJD has even guessed where the individual entrances could be. He mentions three recently added areas on Al Mazrah. They are quite hidden, do not allow deeper penetration and are only part of a mission chain so far. The developers have made a lot of unnecessary work for a quest in DMZ, Dalek and we think.
In the seemingly endless darkness of DMZ's new bunker map, Optional you can also storm the facility with a night vision device. Problem: You can only get the NSG in two different ways:
What enemies & bosses are there? On the new DMZ map, you will encounter hammer-hard enemies. According to the developers, they are just as strong as in Building 21, but the difficulty level should increase significantly due to the darkness. A boss has not been officially confirmed yet, but it is very likely.
The new DMZ map will be released shortly after the start of Season 3 Reloaded, on May 10, 2023. Building 21 already didn't come out directly with Season 1 Reloaded, but two days later. The same is true for the most recent map Ashika Island.
