Developer Crytek has once again released another DLC for the horror shooter Hunt Showdown. As the name suggests, the new DLC "A Swig Of Fortune" revolves around "lucky coincidences". We will now show you which new hunter is making its debut in the DLC and all the new skins.

When & where will the DLC appear? The DLC has already been released, but unlike many other Hunt Showdown DLCs, you won't find it among the Steam DLCs, only in the in-game shop. So he can only be bought with blood tokens, and not regularly.

Since July 15, 2022, you can buy the new Hunt DLC in the in-game shop for a reduced price of 2560 blood tokens (approx. €22), from July 22, 2022, it will cost 3200 blood tokens (approx. €30) again. For the price, you get the following content.

Content of the A Swig of Fortune DLC:

  • Legendary Hunter - The Spirited One
  • Winfield M1873 - The Red Martin
  • Winfield 1887 Terminus Hand Cannon - Burnout
  • Knife - The last word

Hunt Showdown A Swig Of Fortune DLC - This is the content

This is the hunter: The new legendary hunter in the current DLC is called "The Spirited One", whose real name is Eddie Davies. From his lore text, we can gather that he worked as a bartender behind the counter in the saloon for a long time. He also has an unquenchable thirst to create the impossible himself. To survive in the bayou, he relies on courage and cunning.

The spirited one wears clothing that is less conspicuous to the eye. Black pinstriped trousers, a white dirty shirt, also with stripes, and a brown vest, in the pocket of which he appears to be stowing a pocket watch, if we can interpret the distinctive chain that way. In addition, he wears a tall black hat and a black gun belt, to which not only cartridges but also a large bottle are attached.

Weapons and equipment in A Swig Of Fortune

These are the weapons: There is no such thing as a Hunt Showdown DLC without weapons, so you get two new guns and a new "knife" here as well. These are skins for three different weapons:

  • The Redmartin - The Redmartin is a Winfield M1873, once owned by the notorious Doc Redmartin, which is probably where it got its name from. But when Eddie Davies, the bartender, couldn't pay his bill, the owner of this beautiful weapon changed.
  • Burnout - The Burnout is a Winfield 1887 Terminus hand cannon owned by William Carter, the Hunter from the Trick Shooter DLC. William Carter was Eddie Davies' favorite customer as he would rise to any challenge, when one day it was "Target Shooting - Double or Nothing" the only target was a stick of dynamite. That also explains the charred appearance.
  • The Last Word - The Last Word is a skin for the knife. Since Eddie Davies was quick to recognize when an argument turned into a full-fledged brawl, a broken bottle quickly became the bartender's last word in settling a dispute. When his patrons didn't want to be sensible, they often got that bottle or a knife right in their guts.
