What is it about? With the new update 1.10 for Hunt Showdown, the Extraction shooter gets the first version of the new questline system. The quests and missions present you with different tasks, for the completion of which you receive weapons & cosmetics. What exactly awaits you and how the Questline system works in Hunt Showdown.
This is how the new questline system works in Hunt Showdown
This is how the quests are structured: The quests in Hunt Showdown are available to all players from the start of the game. A quest consists of several sections, for which you receive stars as currency:
- 1x Quest: consists of 6 Stages
- 1x Stage: consists of 4 missions
- 1x Mission: complete a given task
A mission can be rewarded with either one star or two stars. Since you only need a total of 4 stars to complete a stage, you don’t need to complete all missions to advance to the next stage. Missions that earn you a star are mostly PvE missions. Better-paying missions then include tasks that require you to engage in PvP.
Once you have earned four stars, you advance to the next stage, and once you have completed all six stages (2 to 4 missions each), the quest is over.
What are the missions? One-star missions have tasks like “Destroy X dog cages” or “Collect X clues”. Two-star missions in the Hunt Showdown questline require, for example, “Use the Stalker Beetle X times in a fight.”
Do you have to extract for the mission to succeed? No, you do not have to get out of the match alive for a mission in your current questline to be considered successfully completed. Once you have completed a mission, it will remain completed even after you die.

What rewards does the questline system in Hunt Showdown offer?
As already mentioned, you’ll receive rewards for all parts of a questline. For example, after each mission you’ll receive a pistol, a rifle, Hunt dollars or consumables. When you complete an entire questline, you’ll receive various cosmetic items such as legendary hunters or weapons. The developers have not yet confirmed exactly what reward awaits you after completing a stage.
