In Modern Warfare 2 (2022), drop shots are considered disreputable. Not because they are so unfair, but because they supposedly don't work. But we'll show you in our short guide that drop shots are far from dead -- until now. That's because developer Infinity Ward might be interested in quickly removing the same-shot from the game:

With drop shooting, you throw yourself to the ground as soon as you get into a firefight with an enemy. In theory, this ensures that you get a higher precision. In addition, you change your position and your opponent has to follow the now smaller target in the downward movement.
