Infinity Ward has announced the Ranked games for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in collaboration with developer Treyarch for 2023. We'll tell you what there is to know.

Here's what's going on: the Ranked games from developer Treyarch, where you can climb the leaderboard and get exclusive rewards, have been very popular in Vanguard and Black Ops. These will now be discontinued in November and the developers are focusing on the Ranked games in Modern Warfare 2, which aren't scheduled to launch until 2023.

As Treyarch Studios announced via Twitter on November 02, they are currently working with Infinity Ward to implement the Ranked games in Modern Warfare 2. Treyarch Studios has already gained a lot of experience in this, as they were also responsible for the Ranked games in Black Ops and Vanguard. Here, the features are now turned off and players have until November 22 to collect their rewards.

Several things are planned for the Ranked games in Modern Warfare 2, which won't launch until 2023, however:

• Competitive Modes: different modes where you prove your skill and rise or fall in rank.
• Ranked Skill Divisions: You can move up or down ranks, so you're always competing against players who match your skill.
• Visible Skill Rating: Other players can see how good you are.
• Top 250 Leaderboard: If you are among the top 250 players, you will be displayed worldwide on the in-game leaderboard.
• Exclusive rewards for ranked matches: When you win matches, you earn points and eventually move up in rank. You can then collect your rewards for this in-game. The rewards will probably include weapon skins (camos), banners, and profile pictures. But exclusive operators would also be possible.
