How does cooking work in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? When we travel the game world of Paldea with our Pokémon, we can take a break at any time. However, we don't do this in Pokémon Camps like in Sword and Shield, instead, have a picnic.
At the picnic, we can then make various sandwiches from ingredients we've collected along the way on our adventures. These sandwiches give us buffs limited to 30 minutes duration – and one of them increases the chance of encounters with Shinys.
What's the leak about the Shiny-Mon all about? A leaker who goes by the name PearlEnthusiast on Twitter and specializes in Pokémon shared a photo of a special sandwich. According to the leaker, whoever makes this sandwich increases the chance of encountering Shinys.

Another bonus of the Herba Mystica sandwich is that you'll not only find more Shinys, but also more Mass Outbreaks and Paradox Pokémon. The Mass Bursts are familiar to fans from Pokémon Legends Arceus, while the Paradox Pokémon are a new feature from Scarlet and Violet.
Mass outbreaks can occur anywhere in the game world and denote large gatherings of Pokémon of the same species in one place. Mass Outbreaks also increase the chance of getting Shiny Pokémon – so you'll benefit twice from the Sandwich buff in this case.
How do I make the sandwich? To make the sandwich, you need three different Herba Mystica. You can get these herbs in 5-star raids – each Titan grants you a different type of Herba Mystica, differentiated by flavor (sour, sweet, etc.). So you'll have to put in some work for the sandwich. But the effort is obviously worth it, because the sandwich ensures that you can encounter two to four Shinys per hour on average.
