Even though the new Paragon system in Diablo 4 was not yet playable in the beta version, many things are already known. We have summarized everything important for you.
As in Diablo 3, you will also receive Paragon points in the new part of the hack and slay game after a certain point. You can distribute these points on the newly created Paragon Board to expand your character individually.

Blizzard wants to provide more individuality in the building design and ensure that the endgame is more diverse and exciting than it was in the last Diablo. We will explain how this Paragon board looks, how it works, and how many Paragon points you can get in total.
How to Get Paragon Points in Diablo 4
Unlike its predecessor, the Paragon system in Diablo 4 gets a cap. Once your character reaches level 50, you’ll get four Paragon points for each additional level up. The maximum level in the game is 100, so you can collect 200 Paragon points.
The Paragon Board in Diablo 4
You can think of the Paragon board as a large board covered with larger and smaller tiles. These tiles are all connected. Depending on your chosen character class, you start from a different position on the board. For each Paragon point you gain, you can activate another tile.
At each of the four edges of the paragon board, you will find a single Gate Tile. At these places, you have the possibility to connect your Paragon board with another board. Each possible connection board has its Tile layout, with unique bonuses and enforcement. You can rotate the new board any way before connecting it to your starting board.
The Tiles on the Paragon Board
Each Paragon board has a variety of different tiles. Like the items in Diablo 4, they can be divided into four categories: normal (white), magic (blue), rare (yellow), and legendary (orange).
Normal Tiles
This is the most common type of Tile on the board. They connect Tiles between the more powerful Tiles and give you smaller attribute increases, such as “+5 Strength”.
Magic Tiles
Already a little stronger and less frequent are the Magic Blue Tiles. These also give you simple buffs, such as “+10 Fire Resistance”.
Rare Tiles
Much less common are the Rare Yellow Tiles on the Paragon boards. These are usually not general bonuses, but powerful buffs that only make sense for certain builds. This is because Rare Tiles usually grant buffs tied to your attributes and are only activated with 175 strength, for example.
Legendary Tiles
After your starting board, each additional Paragon board you unlock via a Gate Tile has a single Legendary Tile. This is always located in the center of each Paragon board and unlocks a new legendary power.
In addition to these four Tiles, there will be Sockets where you can place different Glyphs. These Glyphs can be found anywhere. They grant you different bonuses once you have placed them into a Socket.
The effect of the Glyph always depends on how many activated Tiles are within its radius. You can even expand this glyph radius by completing different endgame dungeons.
More custom Build Design
Although we haven’t had a glimpse of Diablo 4’s endgame yet, it should already be clear that there will be a lot more individuality in terms of build design this time. The versatile development possibilities through the Paragon system, combined with your character’s talent trees and the versatile affixes on items should keep players happy for much longer than Diablo 3 managed.
