Grounded: Fan Finds Helicopter for Fast Travel in the Game Files

Deutsch English

In the survival game Grounded you fight your way through a garden in mini format and cover large distances. We find out whether there are other fast travel options besides zip lines.

Here’s what’s up: In Grounded, you’re mostly on foot and have to walk for what feels like ages. A fast travel function, as known from other games, would be appreciated. In this guide, we will introduce you to all the fast travel options that might be coming to the game in the next updates.

YouTuber Finds Helicopter In Game Files & Rumors About Benefits

YouTuber JadeCraft found a helicopter within the Grounded files, which was apparently planned at one point. While presenting it, he makes it clear that it will probably not be included in the game. However, the helicopter would have been an ingenious idea and maybe the developers will come back to this idea.

Possible Fast Travel Options for Grounded in the future

  • Zip lines: Very likely, the next update of Grounded will include the possibility to slide zip lines up again. So far, it is only possible to slide down zip lines from a higher point. This would definitely make things a lot easier and save climbing in many places.
  • Field Station Teleporter: Another option would be to teleport back and forth between the already discovered field stations. This would obviously save an insane amount of time and is the closest to the concept of a typical fast travel feature.
  • Glider: It is also likely that you can craft a glider, or something similar so that you can glide over the garden from a high point. Similar to what you already have with a dandelion flower that you can use as a parachute.

The community wants tamed Insects to ride

However, many players from the Grounded community would be most pleased if it were possible to tame more insects and then use them as a means of transportation. Some commentators compare the principle with Ark Survival Evolved, whose gameplay is similar enough to Grounded. For example, Genshar69 writes on YouTube:

I would love to get a real taming system in Grounded. You could tame mosquitos or bees and fly on them until their stamina wears off. […] Imagine if we could ride an Orb Weaver!”
