Hogwarts Legacy is the most eagerly awaited game of the year. As of February 10, you can finally cast spells. Of course, in Hogwarts Legacy you can not only cast magic with your wand, but also brew various potions.
All fans of the Potter universe have surely wondered what liquid happiness tastes like in the form of the potion “Felix Felicis” or how difficult it is to brew a polyjuice potion. In Hogwarts Legacy you’ll be able to prepare many well-known potions from the Harry Potter books. But there will also be recipes that you don’t know yet. We have summarized all known potions in Hogwarts Legacy with their ingredients for you.
Potions in Hogwarts Legacy
So far, not many potion recipes are known, or it is not yet clear what ingredients you need to make them. However, a few recipes have been confirmed. This article will be updated continuously and as soon as new recipes are known, they will be included here.

This is how potion brewing works in Hogwarts Legacy
As it should be in a good RPG, you can’t just brew away, you have to unlock all the potion recipes one by one. Once you have unlocked the recipe, you will of course need your own cauldron. Then you’ll have to go in search of the necessary ingredients. Fortunately, there are numerous ways to get potion ingredients in Hogwarts Legacy:
- You can easily find and collect many resources in the open world.
- At J. Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeade, you can buy recipes and ingredients as well as ready-made potions.
- In the store “Magic Turnip” in Hogsmeade you can also get various ingredients as well as magic plants.
- Rarer flowers and plants can be purchased at Dogwood & Deathcap in Hogsmeade.
- Materials that come from magical creatures (such as horns, skins, etc.), as well as certain plants, can be kept or grown in your personal vivarium.
