Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s The Indigo Disk is out now, and you'll be excited to learn how to get each brand-new Pokemon. As true Pokemon fans, as soon as the DLC was released, we immediately started looking for ways to catch all the newly added creatures and share them with you. In this guide, you'll learn how to get all the new Pokemon in the Indigo Disk.
Contents of the Guide: Here you'll learn how to get all the new Pokemon in the Indigo Disk.
There are a total of 7 new Pokemon that you can encounter in the Indigo Disk, not including the three different forms of Terapagos. Below, we'll elaborate on each of them so that you can decide which Pokemon are worth your attention and which ones you don't want to spend extra time and energy on. We've also made a list of how to get each new Pokemon so that you're prepared for any difficulties you may encounter.
First of all, we should mention the new legendary Pokémon Terapagos. This Pokémon is available in Normal, Terastal, and Stellar forms. Luckily for many Scarlet & Violet fans, you don't need to perform any unique actions to get this Pokémon, as you will catch it as part of the story. Like in any other raid, once you defeat Terapagos, you can catch it using any Pokéball. And as a nice bonus, after you catch this Pokémon, you will unlock Effects of the Stellar Tera Type, which guarantees a boost to moves, but only once per move.
You can get an Archaludon by evolving it from a Duraludon. To accomplish this, you will need Metal Alloy, which can be purchased from the School Store, but unfortunately, its price is quite nasty, exactly 300 BP, so make sure to complete enough quests to earn that amount. And speaking of Duraludon, which you'll need to turn into Archaludon, there are 2 ways to get it:
When you get a Duraludon, just give it Metal Alloy and you'll see it evolve into an Archaludon.
Raging Bolt and Iron Crown are the new Paradox Pokemon that appeared in the Indigo Disk. You can get one or the other depending on which game you are playing. For example, if you play Pokemon Scarlet, you can get Raging Bolt, and if you play Violet, you will get Iron Crown. Regardless of which Pokemon you are getting, you need to have at least 200 registered Pokemon in the Blueberry Pokedex. After you complete this task and report back to Perrin, she will take you on a quest that will reward you with one of these Pokemon, depending on your current game.
Two more new Paradox Pokemon are Gouging Fire and Iron Boulder. Unfortunately, these two are not yet available in the game as they are attached to events. All you can do to get these Pokemon is wait for the relevant events.
Hydrapple is another new Pokemon that can be obtained through evolution. To accomplish this, you will need to have a Dipplin, which you can get if you catch an Applin and give it a Syrupy Apple. You can buy these apples next to the Mossfell Confluence hut. Speaking of Dipplin's evolution into Hydrapple, you'll need to beat Drayton to get the TM226 for the Dragon Cheer move as a reward. You have to give this move to Dipplin and raise its level by one, and thus it evolves into Hydrapple.
