In Outcast 2: A New Beginning, brewer Marzo tasks the hero, Cutter Slade, with gathering 5 Morags for Lampé. Our expert on Outcast reveals where to find these fruits, their appearance, and how to pick them.

Wo du Morags findest und wie du sie pflückst (TLDR):

  • Morags are sack-like fruits found hanging from the treetops on Adelpha.
  • During the "Lampé for Everyone" quest, Cutter needs to harvest 5 Morags from the trees in the village of Emea.
  • Accessing the fruits requires at least one energy battery for the jetpack, the second upgrade in the jetpack's upgrade tree.
  • This enhanced jetpack allows you to reach most Morags by jumping.
  • For an efficient way to collect 5 Morags, read on.

Outcast 2: What Morags Look Like and Where to Find Them

Upon reaching the village of Bidaa in Outcast 2: A New Beginning, you'll meet brewer Marzo near a blue-glowing water mill. He informs Cutter about a Pilam shortage, which seems to be a kind of alcoholic beverage, akin to beer.

The "Lampé for Everyone" quest begins with this dialogue, requiring the collection of 3 different ingredients, including the Morag fruit. The quest marker guides you to the village of Emea to pick 5 of them.

From experience, identifying Morags is the first step. They resemble pineapples, purple in color, hanging from vines in the treetops like sacks. Check out the screenshots below for a visual guide.

How to Pick Morags in Outcast 2

Picking Morags involves reaching the high branches where they hang. Climbing around the branches and dropping next to a Morag to collect it mid-fall (using the "E" key on PC) is one method, but it's unnecessarily complex.

Instead, upgrading the jetpack is recommended. Elevating it to the second upgrade level is perfectly sufficient. The energy battery provides an extra boost; after the initial boost, press the "boost key" (typically space) again in mid-air.

Now, just trust your jetpack and leap towards the Morag. This method is effective for reaching Morags at heights and distances shown in the picture, and even slightly larger gaps are manageable with the energy battery. Don't forget to press the "E" key near the Morag to grab it mid-jump.

Worried this Morag is hanging too high? No problem for the slightly upgraded rocket pack.

Best Method to Get Those 5 Morags Quickly

To quickly secure 5 Morags, utilize the wooden elevator and the blue, mushroom-like plant across from it (as shown in the pictures below). The latter propels you up a few floors, where you can then cross a suspension bridge directly to a Morag.

Taking the elevator brings you to a platform near which 4 Morags hang, quickly adding up to the required 5 fruits.

Riding the elevator up to this platform, look around. Four Morags hang nearby, all within jetpack's reach.
