In the Paldea region, the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are not only a lot of new Pokémon to discover, but also some models from previous generations, such as Applin. We’ll show you where to find it and how to catch it in our guide.
The name Applin says it all. A dragon-type Pokémon, which was introduced with Pokémon Sword and Shield, looks like a bright red apple. The little fruit dragon has two different evolution levels:
- Flapple
- Appletun
To evolve into Flapple, you need an apple pie to give to Applin to eat. To do this, go to the menu and apply the apple pie to Applin. The evolution from Applin to Appletun works in exactly the same way, but here you don’t need an apple pie, but a sweet apple. But where are wild Applin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and how can you catch them?
Applin-locations in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Finding an Applin isn’t actually that difficult, although you might have to be a little patient. According to the Pokédex, Applin is a rare Pokémon. There are several locations in the Paldea region where you can find the dragon Pokémon, for example in the Tagtree Thicket.
Just travel to the Pokémon Center in the East Province (Area Three) and go to the forest west of it. The Applin likes to live in trees. So keep your eyes peeled upward into the branches.
Once you find an Applin, you’ll have to push it off the branch, because you can only fight and capture the Pokémon on the ground. To push the Applin down, you must select it and then throw your own Pokémon at the Applin. Capturing then works the same as it does with all other Pokémon.
