Everyone who explores the cannibal’s island together with Kelvin, knows that the survival hit Sons of the Forest can also do comedy. Another comical interlude is the cross associated with the end-game; we’ll show you on the map where you can find this wooden demon scare.
Yes, you’ll also get to deal with “demons”. As if mutants and weird guys who want to taste your insides weren’t crude enough, Sons of the Forest also sends strange “demons” after you towards the end of the game. What’s special about these critters is that they are both serious opponents and flawless comedians. The latter, at least, in combination with a “secret” weapon that you can even snatch early in the game.
We’re talking about a standard wooden crucifix, like any horror movie priest would wield. And you’re supposed to use it in the same way, which only works in conjunction with demons. In this respect, the cross is really useless for almost an entire game. However, if you call it your own, it can save you heaps of ammunition during the showdown against Satan’s messengers. But where exactly can you find this unusual weapon? We’ll tell you just a little bit further down.

Sons of the Forest: Finding the Cross on the Map
Although the cross is part of the end-game content, it is very close to you even at the beginning of the game. You’ll find it in a cave near the helicopter crash site. The exact location can be found on the map below; it’s one of those caves with particularly narrow entrances that house bunkers, for example. The entrance was boarded up, but you probably already know that a fire axe (or a spear) can help here.
Once you’ve entered the cave, just follow the path for a short time. On the way you can pick up some consumable objects from the ground. The cross is located a little bit behind a slope, but you can’t miss it. It is illuminated by a light source, creating a large cross shadow on the cave wall.
